The Sixth Form at Frances Bardsley Academy is going from strength to strength. The numbers are increasing both from Frances Bardsley girls and girls from 11-16 schools in and out of the Borough who wish to complete their education in a single sex environment.

This is an open access Sixth Form, which means that any student may opt to enter Year 12 in this school, provided they can benefit from the courses on offer. This means having the right work ethic and finding a course that you are very interested in.

There are a variety of A-Level courses on offer and a core enrichment course called CARERS (Creativity Articulate Resilient Empathetic Reflective Self-aware) these are our key learner characteristics. We believe that the development of these will ensure that our students are equipped for life, no matter what career they pursue. In addition there are three big activities days and leisure activities available.

"I knew that coming to the Sixth Form at Frances Bardsley was the right thing to do. There is a positive atmosphere, a good working environment and the teachers are very encouraging" Year 12 Student.
