Brentwood Road Gallery is delighted to welcome the AccessArt Village this January.
Concept of artist Andrea Butler, the project was to inspire over 750 participants of all ages (children, teenagers and adults) from across the world. Each entrant submitted a hand sewn fabric square of their own house, Artist Andrea Butler and the AccessArt team then created a stunning installation piece which will be touring the country. The project was supported by Appletons Wool.
The village will be at Brentwood Road Gallery until 31st January, come and see this amazing installation made by so many different hands.
'"Highlighting the character and individuality of each house, the project also celebrates the diversity of our audience and reminds us of the universal sanctity of ‘home’. Most poignant are those houses created by individuals who for reasons of health or vulnerability, were away from home when they made their creations." - AccessArt
AccessArt is a UK charity (1105049) and our aim is to inspire, enable and support visual arts teaching and learning in the whole community.
