This show comprises of a collection of mixed media artefacts with hand printed textiles, ceramics, mono prints, collographs and installations. The gallery will be transformed into a surreal and eccentric museum of imagined histories, described in his own words Paul hopes to create a ‘Jumbled folk museum’ developing his ‘own narrative of new, imagined culture’.
Paul Wye, a London based artist and teacher received his MA in Visual Arts: Printmaking, from Camberwell College of Art in 2011. He has exhibited extensively around London including the Wellcome Collection, and the British Museum. He has also shown internationally including, The Sketchbook Project, Brooklyn, U.S.A. and the Hong Kong Graphic Arts Fiesta.
Included in the show are his ‘Tinker Trinkets’, which were originally shown at the Grayson Perry Late Event at the British Museum in 2011.
